About

The RheinEnergieSTADION stands proudly in the Müngersdorf district of Cologne, occupying the historic grounds once held by the Müngersdorfer Stadion. The roots of this football sanctuary date back to 1975 when a new FC stadium first graced this location. However, it wasn't until the years 2002 to 2004 that the modern masterpiece we know today took shape, just in time to host the FIFA World Cup in 2006.

The stadium's distinctive rectangular design, adorned with its four commanding steel towers, has come to embody Cologne's identity, serving as a powerful symbol of the city's spirit. The hallowed pitch within is regarded as one of Germany's finest, a pristine playground where football dreams come to life.
